The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies Building (or Rackham as students call it) was my next stop on my #UmichBuldings adventure. The building was opened in 1938 and went through a massive restoration from 1999-2002 which is documented in a booklet found throughout the building. The restoration is outstanding and makes Rackham a must-visit building.
All the rooms in Rackham are striking, but I would say the reading room (left) and study lounges (right) were the winners for the space category
Stumbled upon a terrace on the top floor. Unfortunately, the door to step outside was locked
Library drop off box in the basement is especially convenient in the winter
